I think the term "Photoshopped" is universally recognized, similar to how "Googling" a topic is now part of our parlance. Perhaps a more-descriptive phrase to use is "digitally edited", as there are other excellent image-editing software packages aside from Photoshop (GIMP is one I highly recommend that is Open Source). But, "Photoshopped" rolls off the tongue a bit more easily, just as "Googling" is easier to say than "performed an Internet search of/for".
I learned a lot from today's 'Long Read' - maybe a future One First can expand a bit more on the term "Ex parte" as it is used in the legal world. Even after "Googling" it (LOL), I still am a bit fuzzy on the meaning.
I had no idea the class photo is photoshopped. Why on Earth is Alito grimacing like that then, were his eyes closed in all the other shots?
